I have a goal.
I want to integrate the entirety of philosophy. There already exists various wikis and knowledge-bases online which cover different areas to different degrees of accuracy: I want to beat them all. My plan to do this is to break down every topic into atomic notes, which can then be used as building blocks towards further conclusions which are themselves building blocks.
Previous treatises on philosophy–however good they may be–suffer from the fact that the information in them is all locked-away in massive (often non-digital) tomes, that cannot be easily queried. This site will fix this problem. There can exist notes on this site that contain only a single syllogism, where each premise–rather than being in plaintext–is itself a link to a previous note, and this previous note links to still prior notes until one may break down any argument into its most basic building blocks—its atoms.
To illustrate this with a concrete example, consider Objectivism and Austrianism. Both are heterodox schools of thought, and both get their respective domains correct, but little work has been done to integrate the two. Objectivists are correct about Metaphysics and Epistemology, but they suffer when it comes to the more remote derivations from these core areas in law. But law is precisely one of those areas that the Austrians excel at—these two schools complement each other perfectly, and require complete integration.
That is where this site comes in: with atomic notes on the entire body of philosophy it would be trivial to work ones way back from various remote conclusions in economics straight to the heart of metaphysics. It would be easy to demonstrate which conclusions are consistent with the foundation, and which ones need more work.
Consider supporting this mission:
Due to the nature of this project in particular, I will be keeping every single note entirely open and free for use by the public in any way they see fit. Because of this there can be no paywalls on this site, but I have also various courses available that you are able to purchase for whatever price you see fit, if you think the information here is up-to-scratch and you want to see it integrated into some particular subject matter. If you are not interested in those courses, you can also support me directly at my Ko-Fi site, if you wish to support this mission and see it succeed.
