The Epistemic Sense of Objectivity

In the epistemic sense to be objective means to adhere to the object–the object of cognition, namely reality–in coming to conclusions. In other words, objectivity means being guided by existence in a given thought process as against the arbitrary content of ones consciousness, which would be subjective.
